Our Schools. Our Vote. Our Future.

Noblesville Deserves the Whole Picture

The voices that matter most in this election are the people who call Noblesville home.

As national political organizations weigh in on our local school referendum, we believe Noblesville voters deserve the facts—and the opportunity to hear from their own neighbors.

Our Official Response

Noblesville Voters Deserve the Whole Picture

October 28, 2026 - A national political organization funded by dark money is actively campaigning against Noblesville Schools' operating referendum, claiming that renewal will cost the average homeowner $955 a year in increased taxes.

Before you take that number at face value, visit milleryes.org (https://milleryes.org/). Our property tax calculator lets you compare what you pay today with what you would pay if the referendum is renewed.

Here's what those messages leave out:

  • The $955 figure appears on the ballot, as required by Indiana law. But it's calculated as if Noblesville had no referendum today and as if the district would charge the full maximum rate in 2027. Neither reflects reality.
  • Noblesville voters have supported operating referendum funding for 16 years, and homeowners already pay the current rate. The question on November 3 is whether to continue that funding when it expires at the end of 2026.
  • While the proposed maximum rate increases from 37¢ to 57¢ to offset changes in state funding law, the School Board has formally committed to a 2027 rate of just 38.5¢, with future annual increases capped at no more than 4¢.

Beyond the misleading tax claims, this campaign attempts to portray Noblesville Schools as financially irresponsible. The facts tell a different story. Noblesville Schools holds the highest credit rating of any district in the state, and has lowered its property tax rate for seven consecutive years. That’s a demonstrated record of fiscal responsibility.

What a NO vote would do is eliminate approximately $25 million in annual classroom and operating funding—roughly 20% of the district's operating budget. That funding supports teachers, academic and career-tech programs, school safety, and mental health services.

Every resident has the right to question public spending and make their own decision. We simply ask that you make yours with the whole picture—not just the one a national political organization wants you to see.

Unlike the national political organization attempting to influence this election, Miller YES is a locally-led, grassroots campaign that is transparent about its funding. Its volunteers are Noblesville parents, neighbors, and business owners who believe decisions about their schools should be shaped by the people who call this community home.
